Yan Man is New on the market, Not new to the game!

Rap and Hip Hop became a life obsession of a young man from Champaign, IL when he first began hosting a local radio show in 1991 called the Soul Wave with the departed KG Love on 90.1 WEFT. He remembers at the young age of 13 years old, some influential Hip Hop artist that were taking over the airwaves with East Coast rappers like Kool Keith, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, LL Cool J and Dougie Fresh while on the West Coast, Del the Funky Homosapien, Ice-T, Hieroglyphics, Above the Law, Ice Cube and Parental Advisory were influential in his style.

In 1993, Yan Man was in an up and coming group called Casual Men where they tied for first place in a school talent show and were promised a recording deal however promises were not kept and Casual Men separated with their dreams up in smoke.

Yan Man was not about to throw in the towel. Yan connected back up with local Producer, DJ Toddy T and they collaborated on a few tracks. DJ Toddy T was a very motivated producer and DJ and he saw something in Yan Man that motivated him to keep his head on straight and focus on the music which is a driving factor in his desire to make a unique impact in the music industry today. When Yan Man meet local producer and artist G-Da-Man and his group the Bass Brothers, Yan Man was encouraged to explore other aspects of his creativity which helped with his growth and experience.

When Yan Man relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2004 and began a normal life but music found him again when he reinvented his self as TwoHaaart and created the 17 track album, Open Heart Surgery. Working with M16 who was chief engineer with Stankonia Studios which collaborated with artist like Outkast featuring Big Boi and Andrea 3000 , Goodie Mob and Attic Crew which brought him front and face with the dream of making it big.

Yan Man was ready to bring it home and that is where he landed, back to grass roots, back in Champaign where he began working with Mark Wyman from Tone Good studios. This is where Yan Man created his new unique style of message called Spiritual Trap where he is reining King of the Spiritual Trap Movement with his latest EP, "Spiritual Warfare, Spiritually Trappin".  With the amazing sound of Tone Good studios behind the production of Yan Man's eclectic current album, "Yan Man Presents...Dr. POP, the Bloody Rock Star" and upcoming album called "Yan Can Cook", Yan Man is one to keep your radar on as he walks in the spirit in order to bring good people, good music.
