Gypsee Queen tackling her dream yet again to bring her story telling style of rap back into the rap game
Gypsee Queen was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago. She was fascinated with poetry at the early age of ten, being involved in several oratory contests throughout elementary school and receiving a plethora of awards for her achievements. Gypsee Queen grew up with several Chicago rap legends such as Crucial Conflict, Do or Die and Psychodrama who encouraged her to follow her dreams of rapping. Going on to co-host with legendary Pink House of WKKC 89.3, she helped to host the Chi Town Showdown Show which displayed local Chicago rap talent. Unfortunately, at the early age of 20, Gypsee decided the music business was not helping her financially. With this forlorn conclusion and two small children to take care of, she turned to the streets, hustling for a source of income. This hopeless decision landed her in the state penitentiary where she served 15 months behind bars and gave up on her dreams to become the best mom she could be. Now, 20 years later, Gypsee is tackling her dream yet again to bring her story telling style of rap back into the rap game.
Recently, she has been fulfilling her dreams as a rap artist by releasing hits such as “Chicago Is”, “No Side Chic” and ‘Yall aint ready”. Gypsee Queen has also created her own music label by the name of Go Getta LLC in which she is the founder and CEO of this label, but Gypsee didn’t just stop there; she has also taken part in acting, writing and editing her own music videos. Her favorite slogan is “nothing is impossible” in which she believes that working hard enough to achieve her goals of bringing the fun, substance and bars back to rap can be attained through dedication to the art itself.
She was featured in recently released Lifoti's June 2019 influencer issue, you can check it from below link's for your country:
