Chicano rap artist named Knightowl, also known as Ramon Corona, passed away at the age of 62

Mr. Knightowl, a Latin rap pioneer, died early this morning from COVID problems. The San Diego superstar was responsible for motivating a generation of Hispanics to pick up a microphone and believe that they have a place in this thing known as Hip-Hop.

The pioneering rapper began his start in 1993 under the pseudonym Knightowl and was even scheduled to sign with Eazy-E at one time, but those preparations were cut short due to Eazy’s death. E’s “Daddy I’m In Love With A Gangster,” Knightowl’s radio and street hit, catapulted him to fame. Mr. Knightowl’s real name is Ramon Corona, a Chicano rapper. In 2004, he changed his name to Mr. Knightowl, according to his Wikipedia profile.

At the time of his death at the age of 62, Kightowl’s net worth was believed to be over $5 million. Despite being born in Tijuana, Mexico, he rose to notoriety in the United States mainland through his music.

As a counter-punch to Death row Records, Suge Knight, and Dre, Eazy-E, the founder of Ruthless Records and a member of the NWA, planned to sign Knightowl, DJ Mikeski, and Mr. Lil One. from South San Diego in 1994.

Mr Knightowl is dead of COVID complications. He was a Latin rap pioneer who died in San Diego at 62. Mr. Knightowl’s death is thought to have marked the end of an era in Latin rap. Mr Knightowl died as a result of COVID complications, according to his well-wishers’ early reports and Twitter tweets. Fans and followers have begun to express tributes to his contribution to Latin Rap, as well as condolences. The San Diego native is renowned for inspiring a new generation of Hispanics to pick up the microphone. He is considered a pioneer of Latin rap and Hip-Hop. Under the moniker Knightowl, the pioneering rapper began his career in 1993.

Knightowl was even set to sign with Eazy-E right away, but those plans were cut short due to Eazy’s death. Mr Knightowl’s radio and street breakthrough with E’s “Daddy I’m In Love With A Gangster” rocketed him to celebrity. Although English is Knightowl’s preferred rap language, he also raps in Caló (Chicano) and Spanglish.

In the year 2000, Knightowl and “Mr. Lil’ One” forged a partnership for the Hollow-point collaboration endeavor. The collaboration gave The Little & The Owl album. On the West Coast, Mr Knightowl is recognized as one of the best.
