Lets Check out the Q&A  with Rose Cora Perry of The Truth Untold

What's your ultimate direction for your band? Are you seeking fame and fortune?
Fame and fortune are both fleeting fantasies that can disappear without warning and do not necessarily lead to fulfillment.   I make music because I believe in its power to inspire others, to provoke thought and to break down barriers of difference and allow us all to relate to one another. I make music for music's sake.

Have you ever dealt with performance anxiety?
I surely have and still do! You never know who's watching and how they could potentially change your life.   I guess I've always thought that if you're no longer getting nervous, your heart is probably not still in it. But nervousness can and should be channelled into excitement - use it to engage with your crowd and give em a show :)   Remind people why LIVE music truly is worth coming out to see and experience in person and without a "screen"  separating you from the artist.

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?
Social media. The level of corruption as witnessed in the recent Ticket master reseller scandal. I would level the playing field so that economics don't prove to be a barrier to success. I could go on...

Which member in your band do you think is talented and why?
Well, there's only two of us - myself on vocals / guitar and my partner-in-crime Tyler Randall on drums - but I'd like to think we're both pretty darn good at what we do!   We've put a lot of thought and effort into creating a full "band" sound while remaining a lean two-piece.

Why did you change your career from host/interviewer to musician?
I didn't so much "change" my career as explore different sides of my art at different times in my life. I still host the occasional special event these days as an Emcee and surely would consider another TV Hosting gig should it come my way. We've put a lot of thought and effort into creating a full "band" sound while remaining a lean two-piece.

I didn't so much "change" my career as explore different sides of my art at different times in my life. I still host the occasional special event these days as an Emcee and surely would consider another TV Hosting gig should it come my way.  It's all a matter of timing as I don't like to take on too much at once as it results in not being able to give it my all for everything.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from one of your fans?
To follow my heart - I always encourage the same in return :)

Is there anyone you'd like to acknowledge for offering financial or emotional support?
We don't have a major label behind us and neither of us come from wealthy families with connections. In other words, everything we put into our careers comes from working our day jobs and working tirelessly at both our Clark Kent and Superman identities simultaneously to be completely honest.
Because of our hard work we have been extremely fortunate to have been the recipients of a number of grants from Canadian arts organizations Factor, Socan Foundation and the London Arts Council but music is an expensive passion and the best way to ensure the longevity of your favorite artists is to financially support them.
Emotionally, our families have been wonderfully supportive and of course we support each other. We also have two bratty felines that brighten our day anytime we're feeling down.

Singer you hate most?
I personally don't like to rip on other artists in public forums. Of course, I have my opinions and preferences when it comes to such things, but the great thing about music is that there is something out there for every taste and niche and just because I don't like something doesn't necessarily mean it's "bad" , it's just doesn't strike a chord particularly with me.

What is your opinion about today's US rappers?
Lol. I'm probably the least qualified person to answer anything about rap. I'm a rocker who lives for dynamic melodies, distorted guitars and hard-hitting drums!

According to you what's the best way to earn more royalties?
TV, movie or advert placements if you can get them!

Do you believes in organic streams or paid campaigns? Why?
I don't believe in streaming at all. BUY music. Benefit the MUSICIANS - not the labels or streaming platforms.

Message for our readers and your fans?
Real fans BUY music. Real fans GO to shows. Liking something passively on social media doesn't pay for recordings or tours or the like. If you want to truly support your favorite artists, put your money where your mouth is.
