Rae Sremmurd's long anticipated triple album has finally arrived.
We've already seen various chapters from the multi-headed project, including the ubiquitous "Powerglide," the Travis Scott assisted "Close," and "Guatemala," Swae Lee's natural successor to the infectious 2017 jam "Unforgettable." Admittedly, a project of this magnitude is difficult to assess upon a surface listen. It does appear that the group are in fine form, sliding over Mike WiLL Made-It's standout production with a newfound sense of artistic maturity. While they may appear to be stuck in perpetually youthful state, the Sremmurd boys have continuously evolved as both songwriters and performers.
If you're strictly here for Swae Lee, there's an album here for you. If you're riding with Jxmmi, there's an album here for you. If you believe that two is better than one, this album is most definitely for you. Check out SR3MM now, and be sure to sound off below. Are we looking at too much of a good thing, or did they deliver exactly what they needed to?
