"City of God" is a well executed project in line with Atlanta's best.

 Shad Da God's new mixtape City of God paints a picture of an opulent character walking through rubble, dusting off their designer shoes. Much like book written shortly after the birth of Christ, City of God calls to question the rightness of settling upon your instincts. Shad Da God, much like his fellow Bankroll Mafia cohort Young Thug, has embraced a melodic style that often contradicts the message of his lyrics. As if he were somehow telling us how to dispose of the imposed guidelines.

As Shad calmly states on "Invisible," "small minded shit don't do nothin'." Artists like Thugger & Shad Da God aptly communicate a complete musical idea, without steering the conversation into territory that would seem out of turn. The narrative remains ever the same wherever you go in Atlanta.
