The French music scene reveals the new electronic female artist, Delaurentis. Producer, composer, writer, musician and singer, she’s releasing her debut concept-album : "UNICA" today.

Based in Paris, the young artist, DeLaurentis, worked on her debut album for two years, bonding with her machines, developing an almost mystical connection between the human and digital worlds, and bringing to life her digital sister: Unica.

The 10 tracks album is a digital-tale that brings forth the emotions between a woman and her machine. A song at a time, it’s the story about the fusion of two contemporary beings, in an enchanting mix of reality and imagination, flesh and processors, in contact with heady and effective tracks.

DeLaurentis, from her real name Cecile, grew up in Toulouse, in the south of France. As a little girl, she watched her dad, a jazz musician himself, playing music. She quickly understood that music was a part of her. After several years spent at the Conservatory in Perpignan, she went back to her hometown, where all by herself, she learned to use keyboards, machines, and computers. That’s how she progressively became DeLaurentis.

DeLaurentis settled in the French capital, Paris, in 2015, and released her first two EPs. She started to get noticed then, with her unique universe and music videos. Major French publications such as Trax, Rock & Folk and Les Inrockuptibles started talking about her music, and soon after, some of her songs were featured in national commercials, and her single “A Big Part of A Big Sun”, in the TV series “How to Get away with murder”.

DeLaurentis builds a wall around her melodies where old and modern synthesizers, pianos, loops and arpeggios mix together. Her universe is described as « electro-cinematic » music, bright and dark at the same time.

DeLaurentis is now releasing her debut concept-album "UNICA", along with the single “Unica’s Cloud” . The music video will be out on September 23, and here’s an impressive glimpse of what’s to come :

She will be playing at the Mama Festival in Paris on October 15, 2021, and will present her Tedx masterclass "How i became friends with a music machine", on October 17, 2021.
More shows are still to be announced, including a Masterclass event in Hollywood, CA with Ableton.
