Meresha welcomes you to her captivating Coconut Island

The Billboard-charting songstress enchants with her new sun-soaked single

Need a sonic vacation? Meresha has recently released her stunning new single “Coconut Island”. It is a perfect musical escape from the humdrum day-to-day. Meresha takes us to a magical, tropical place where good vibes and sublime musicianship rule. Meresha’s voice shines throughout accompanied in parts by steel drums or delicious guitar solos. Life on Coconut Island does indeed look amazing with sweeping coastal landscapes, white sands, lush swaying palms, and of course abundant coconuts providing the perfect background for a romantic adventure. Sail the seas, leap from cliffs and dive in. Delight as schools of dolphins play in the clear blue waters, in between breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. Come on in. The water is warm and “De coco is good for your soul”.
The cover art for “Coconut Island” is creative and whimsical. Meresha’s charming eyes hypnotize as they peer from a yummy-looking green coconut ready to drink from. Meresha debuted the song at Gov Ball, New York City’s largest music festival, where she played private concerts on the Citibank Deck together with LiveNation. “Coconut Island” is Meresha’s second single of 2019 following her hit song “Jungle Potion”, which has been streamed almost 2 million times on Spotify alone. “Jungle Potion” even found its way onto Ariana Grande’s huge personal Spotify playlist. Meresha is currently working on a new EP due out in the coming months. We’ve heard a few of the songs that will be featured and this is definitely something to look out for. Standouts include “Hold” and “Olivia” (oops - that might be secret. Don’t tell anyone).
Meresha is a self-described (❁´◡`❁)(musical) artist & alien luver. Will she storm Area 51 with the many others who have declared they will do so this year? Who knows? She is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer with a deep, wide-ranging soulful voice and a quirky sonic vision. She is also an #AlienPop innovator; so far the first in the genre. She described Alien Pop as being somewhat like Pop, but also something from “out of this world” at the same time. AllMusic named Meresha's EP "Enter the Dreamland" one of the Top 20 Albums of the year globally (Pop). The video for the lead song won the Music California Viewers' Choice Award. Meresha debuted the EP for 40,000 at SunFest, sharing the stage with Marshmello and Jon Bellion. Meresha made Billboard charts several times, was the #1 indie artist on US radio for a month and had her music featured on TV internationally, including on MTV, where she won an MTVu Freshman competition. She is a a member of the Recording Academy which selects Grammy. winners.
