GINGER: Music Powerhouse Stands Ready to Take America by Storm

With her powerful voice, mesmerizing stage presence, and ability to touch your soul with impossibly catchy songs that are somehow both universal and intensely personal, Ginger may well be the most delightfully captivating singer performing today. Born and raised in the little mountain town of Robbinsville, North Carolina, Ginger has been singing since she was old enough to stand. Now based out of Savannah, Georgia, her voice and songs are a unique and unmatched blend of pop, rock, and soul, all mixed together with just a dash of country.

Although Ginger is best known as the lead singer of the rock band Liquid Ginger, her new solo album “Fly on the Wall” quickly reminds you why she is a Georgia Music Award - winning vocalist. It’s a mature female contemporary sound, full of clever lyrics and unforgettable hooks. Each song seems carefully crafted to get stuck in your head for days.
Although Liquid Ginger has released three albums of original music, the band is primarily known today as an extremely high energy cover band, well versed in keeping crowds dancing with an unusually wide variety of instantly recognizable modern pop, hard and classic rock hits. “We play everything from Led Zeppelin to Lady Gaga,” Ginger says with a laugh. That sincere, guileless devotion to embracing the feel - good ethos and glitzy showmanship of mainstream popular music never fails to reward listeners with an impossibly fun evening of their favorite tunes performed at t he highest level in the business.

As for why she decided to finally release a solo album, Ginger explained that she has dreamed of this moment since she was old enough to sing. While almost everyone in Georgia has seen Liquid Ginger perform at some point over the past twenty years, the vast majority of Ginger’s life has not played out on a public stage. Like everyone else, her days have been filled with epic stories and experiences -- some good, some bad -- that most people have never seen or even considered. That’s what “Fly on the Wall” is all about: that secret, hidden life we all share full of stories of heartbreak and love, fear and pain, triumph and hope.

“ I wrote most of these songs simply sitting at my piano and allowing my personal stories to f low into the music and words. I am very proud of the result and I truly believe every listener will feel and experience parts of their own life’s story in every song ,” said Ginger. “ I am so excited to share my often messy, sometimes difficult, but ultimately magical and beautiful journey with the world!”

It is that deep honesty combined with Ginger’s unmatched storytelling ability that makes this album so special. Each song may leave you thinking that it was written just for you. Ang Ginger wouldn’t have it any other way. “I want every listener to swept up and truly feel that unique bond between my life and theirs that only music can create,” she said. Musically, “Fly on the Wall” is both vintage and brand new. It may remind of you of yesterday, but it will sound even more like today . Unlike so many albums where there are one or two great songs while the rest fall victim to the fast forward button, each and every song on “Fly on the Wall” was carefully crafted to bring a smile to your face and get stuck in your head for days.
The album is being produced and mixed by ZK Productions in Atlanta, a well - known team that has worked with numerous musical legends such as Whitney Houston, Elton John, Usher, and Fergie. Ginger hopes to join that illustrious list very soon. While the new album may well catapult Ginger to national fame, she has no plans to leave Savannah or stop singing with Liquid Ginger. “I see myself as always being involved in music. I think I’ll be the Stevie Nicks of Savannah and keep rocking out... Then maybe wind up like the late, great Georgia singer - pianist Emma Kelly. I’ll be really old, sitting on a stool somewhere in a little piano bar,” she laughs. “But, in all honesty and wishful thinking, I hope to be writing and selling songs while performing and earning a living doing what I love most.” Until that time comes, we can only hope Ginger continues to release music that alternately cranks you up and breaks your heart.
