Bassassin Is Still In Your Face With the Bass

Bassassin first arrived on the EDM scene in 2014 with his release In Yo Face, featuring 7 tracks of that old school dubstep sound. Now in 2019 he is re-releasing it in remastered format available on all major online music retailers and will be available on May 31st.  The new masters also comes with a new artwork. You can still find the original Album with the original artwork on certain online radio networks. All 7 songs are reminiscent of the 2008 Dubstep music with low tempo and even lower bass. 3 of the songs feature a female vocalist singing the lyrics that Bassassin wrote. Bassassin is a DJ from San Diego, California who is also a producer of many different genres of Bass music Dubstep, Trap, Drum and Bass, and Hip-Hop. Bassassin started off his musical career playing in rock bands on guitar and bass and studied music theory at Palomar College. The first band he was in was called The Virus of Life. A one man band where he played all instruments guitar, bass, vocals, and drum programming. The other band he played bass in was Off the Wagon, an local band that played in a dive bar every week. After discovering EDM in 2008 he originally decided to be a Gabber producer and DJ by the name of DJ Maggot who he had only released one CD. the name change and genre change came in 2012 he moved to Los Angeles to study at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA with a focus on Music Production and Music Business. In 2013 he graduated and moved around living in various parts of the city such as Korea town, Culver City, and both East and North Hollywood. In 2015 he moved back to San Diego to continue his career in his hometown. Bassassin started off his musical career playing in rock bands on guitar and bass and studied music theory at Palomar College. The first band he was in was called The Virus of Life. For his song "Molly in the Club" released in 2016 he enlisted former Three 6 Mafia affiliate Chrome Korleone to provide the vocals and Half Empty to mix and master. This would be his only release in 2016 and the only release for 2 years. He was the 2nd place award winner in the 2016 Remy Martin Producer series for his song "I Am Dracula" off his second EP release the DJ Bassassin EP released in 2015. This EP has 6 songs of the sickest bass put out by an independent artist. Interesting enough only one song featuring a vocalist.  In 2018 he released the anticipated Bassassin's Creed. Featuring 5 tracks of fast paced bass music. This time there are no singing on this CD but only vocal samples.  The years to come look very bright for this producer. He will surely earn his spot in the top very shortly. Be on the look out for his future releases and club performances.  He has performed at some of the biggest EDM clubs including the Avalon, Exchange, and the Belasco in Los Angeles, and Omnia and Bassmnt in San Diego. As well as performing at popular music festivals Life in Color at the San Diego Sports Arena and Nocturnal Wonderland in San Bernadino. He now currently resides in San Diego County with his wife and two kids and husky and is the resident DJ at the Moxy in Downtown San Diego in the Gaslamp District.
