Don't sleep on Dyme-A-Duzin's "Crown Fried."

 While Future and Meek Mill came through with two high-profile drops, it would be unwise to sleep on Dyme-A-Duzin. The Brooklyn rapper has officially dropped off his Crown Fried album, which features appearances from Capital Steez (RIP), Ambre Perkins, Broadway Joe, and more. While the supporting cast hold their own, Dyme carries the bulk of the weight, sliding over smooth, raw production with confidence. It's interesting; the production pays homage to two disparate eras, blending old-school, sample-based loops with a more modern percussive aesthetic. 

Highlights like "Lit Like A Video" find Dyme flexing over some melancholic strings, blessing underground vibes with the universal concept of skirt-chasing. Later game cut "Go Home" employs a hazy, wandering synth, with soft traces of a faded saxophone; anthemic in nature, Dyme takes to it with a New York purist's integrity. Side note, the man seems to really enjoy referencing Funk Flex bomb drops. Wouldn't be surprising to see one in his future.
