Denmark Vessey lands production from Earl Sweatshirt on his trippy new album.

 It's not often that Earl Sweatshirt emerges from hiding, but the talents of Detroit's Denmark Vessey seem to have proven effective in luring him out. Today, Vessey has delivered a smooth and reflective new album by the name of Sun Go Nova, which features hallucinogenic fourteen tracks. It's a little bit unconventional, in the sense that only the first five tracks feature any actual rapping. The rest skews toward the more experimental side of the spectrum, bringing forth lo-fi sample based fire. Crate digging game on point.

That's not to say Vessey's skill set is underrepresented; in fact, his musical aptitude is given ample room to shine throughout the back half. In fact, aside from Earl's production, the majority of the instrumentals are done by Vessey himself. Don't go into this one expecting accessibility, but if you approach it with an open mind, you might find your 4/20-addled brain answering questions you can't remember asking.
