Lifoti Interview: Inside Becca Raine’s Journey Through Faith, Music, and Healing

At the center of this month’s edition is Becca Raine, an artist whose work moves fluidly between music, dance, writing, and spiritual storytelling. What makes Raine’s creative world so compelling is not merely its visual elegance or emotional atmosphere, but the sincerity that exists beneath it. Her work is rooted in lived experience — shaped by moments of fear, healing, perseverance, and faith — and transformed into art that seeks to encourage and uplift others with remarkable honesty..

In an era where noise often overpowers stillness, and where certainty feels increasingly rare, Becca Raine’s work arrives with remarkable clarity of purpose. Artist, writer, vocalist, choreographer, and creative visionary, Raine belongs to a tradition of storytellers who understand that art can do more than entertain — it can restore, uplift, and guide people through life’s darkest seasons. Her work is not driven by spectacle or trend, but by conviction. Every melody, every movement, every written word carries the unmistakable imprint of someone creating from a deeply personal place of faith and lived experience.

For Raine, creativity has never existed separately from spirituality. Long before audiences discovered her music or readers encountered her writing, she was already cultivating a connection between artistic expression and inner calling. That connection began in childhood, when a microphone in her hands became more than a toy — it became the first glimpse of a lifelong purpose. Music and dance quickly evolved from passions into languages through which she could communicate encouragement, healing, and emotional truth.

What makes Raine’s creative path particularly compelling is the breadth of her artistic identity. Many artists spend years searching for a singular voice; Raine has developed several. Her background in professional ballet training, shaped under the guidance of principals associated with institutions such as the Pennsylvania Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, and New York City Ballet, introduced her to the discipline and emotional precision of movement. Yet even within the structured world of classical dance, she gravitated toward storytelling rooted in spiritual reflection and emotional connection.

That instinct continues to define her choreography today. Her performances often transcend traditional dance presentation, blending movement with visual elements, cinematic atmosphere, and themes centered on divine love, worship, and restoration. Rather than creating art merely to impress, Raine creates environments of emotional immersion — experiences intended to leave audiences feeling transformed rather than simply entertained.

The same emotional sincerity carries into her music. Her healing anthem, “Hey! What Did God Say,” is perhaps the clearest expression of her artistic philosophy. Built around Scripture-based declarations and themes of faith during hardship, the song emerged not from commercial ambition, but from a deeply personal family crisis. During a period marked by devastating medical diagnoses and uncertainty, Raine turned to music as both comfort and spiritual reinforcement, transforming Biblical promises into something audible, intimate, and emotionally immediate.

That emotional foundation eventually became the basis for her book, Hey! What Did God Say, co-written with J. R. Raine. But unlike many contemporary faith-centered books that lean heavily into abstract theology or motivational language, the project feels grounded in lived experience. The book does not speak from distance; it speaks from survival.

At its center is a simple but profound question: What did God say? For the Raine family, that question became more than a phrase — it became a framework for confronting fear, uncertainty, illness, and despair. The book recounts their journey through severe medical crises, including stage four cancer diagnoses, while exploring the role Scripture declarations played in sustaining their faith throughout those moments.

Yet what makes the project resonate beyond testimony alone is its practicality. The book functions not only as narrative, but as a usable spiritual resource. Organized Scripture declarations, thematic references, and accessible applications invite readers to engage actively rather than passively. It reflects Becca Raine’s larger philosophy about faith itself: that spiritual encouragement should not remain theoretical, but become something tangible people can carry into daily life.

There is also an undeniable artistic intelligence behind how Raine builds her creative world. Rather than isolating music, writing, dance, and ministry into separate identities, she allows each discipline to strengthen the others. The book informs the music. The music deepens the message. The choreography expands the emotional landscape. Together, they form a singular creative ecosystem rooted in healing, hope, and spiritual renewal.

That multidisciplinary approach feels increasingly rare in modern culture, where artists are often pressured toward narrow branding and immediate commercial identity. Raine’s work resists that limitation. She moves fluidly between mediums because, for her, the message itself is larger than any single format.

What also distinguishes her voice is its refusal to sensationalize suffering. In conversations about healing and faith, there can often be a tendency toward dramatic oversimplification. Raine approaches these subjects differently. Her work acknowledges pain honestly while still insisting on the possibility of hope. That balance gives her message credibility. It feels compassionate rather than performative, intimate rather than preachy.

Perhaps that authenticity explains why audiences have responded so strongly to her work. Readers and listeners are not simply connecting to inspirational language; they are connecting to vulnerability. Raine speaks openly about fear, emotional exhaustion, perseverance, and the discipline required to maintain belief during moments when circumstances appear impossible. In doing so, she offers something increasingly valuable in contemporary culture: sincerity without cynicism.

Even aesthetically, her artistry reflects intentionality. Whether through choreography enhanced by visual design or through music built around emotionally resonant declarations, there is a cinematic quality to how she constructs atmosphere. Her projects feel carefully shaped not only to communicate ideas, but to create emotional experiences.

And yet, beneath the artistry, the central mission remains remarkably consistent. Everything circles back to encouragement. To healing. To helping people rediscover hope when life becomes overwhelming.

In many ways, Becca Raine represents a modern form of faith-centered artistry — one less interested in performance for performance’s sake and more invested in connection. She understands that creativity can become a bridge between people and something greater than themselves. That understanding gives her work a sense of purpose that extends beyond entertainment industries or publishing categories.

As her creative universe continues to expand through future books, music, ministry events, and artistic collaborations, one thing remains clear: Raine is building more than a career. She is building a body of work centered on restoration, conviction, and emotional truth.

At a time when audiences increasingly seek authenticity amid constant distraction, Becca Raine’s voice feels both timely and timeless — a reminder that art, when created with honesty and faith, still possesses the power to comfort, heal, and inspire.

Q&A with Becca Raine

A Life Written in Faith — Becca Raine’s Vision of Faith, Art, and Restoration

1. Your book is rooted in a deeply personal and life-altering family experience. When you look back at that period, what moment stands out as the true turning point in your faith journey?
BR: My family was aware that there were people who had received miraculous healings by declaring God’s words from the Scriptures. In our desperation, we began to apply the Word of God by faith to my mom’s health crisis. However, the true turning point in our faith journey was the day of my mom’s second endoscopy in 2023, when we received confirmation that God’s Word had manifested in the natural realm as a complete, miraculous healing of my mom’s stomach.
Hearing the gastroenterologist announce that she could not locate the hole or cancer in my mom’s stomach, which she described as looking brand new, was life-changing for our faith. In that moment, we realized the power of declaring What God Said into our circumstances. God’s promise for healing had become a reality for us. Each subsequent miracle we experienced further confirmed that the What Did God Say principle was valid.

2. The phrase “What Did God Say” has clearly become more than a question—it feels like a guiding philosophy. How did this shift in mindset transform the way you and your family responded to fear and uncertainty?
BR: Exactly. You’ve made our point. When my family realized that What Did God Say (WDGS) is not simply a question, but is actually God Himself, the greatest power activator in the universe, it transformed fear into faith. (We explain this in much more depth in our book.) WDGS became our watchword, our foundation for life, and our safe space. Now, when situations arise that could easily escalate into fear, we immediately turn to What Did God Say, which brings a sense of relief. We trust the power that the WDGS Biblical principle holds. As an example, in January of 2026, my mom tested positive for a new cancer, different from the kind that God healed in 2023. I’m human, so my initial response was fear and uncertainty. But I quickly reminded myself that I would be encouraging someone else in that situation to What Did God Say it. I immediately felt peace within, trusting that by applying the WDGS principle, my mom would be OK.
Instead of radiation treatment, my mom decided to fully rely upon What Did God Say. We increased my mom’s daily “dosage” of WDGS, her spiritual medicine. Two months later, her lab tests came back negative, the cancer had disappeared. Another God healing.
Rather than responding in fear, my family’s immediate response to everything now is to What Did God Say it.

3. Much of your message centers on the power of spoken Scripture. For readers who may be encountering this idea for the first time, how would you explain the significance of declaring God’s Word aloud?
BR: In Genesis 1:3, God established a universal law and Biblical principle that spoken words possess power. Spoken words can create, destroy, and affect our reality (Genesis 1–2, Proverbs 18:21, Isaiah 55:11, Psalm 107:20). God spoke the world into existence using His all-powerful words. Human words can activate power, but they are limited because humans are finite created beings. God is infinite. In the Hey What Did God Say movement, we encourage others to proclaim the words of the very One who created this principle, our Creator God. His words have unlimited power far beyond those of humans. Therefore, while speaking positive human words is important, speaking the words of God takes this concept to another level. Invoking the principle of speaking God’s Word is a power activator to experience God’s promises in one’s life.

4. Your story includes what you describe as miraculous healing. How did that experience reshape your understanding of faith, medicine, and the relationship between the two?
BR: I once heard a minister say that anyone who wants you well is a friend of God. God wants us well, as do doctors. The two are certainly compatible in healing. My family fully believes that God can work through modern medicine and doctors to bring healing. However, in my mom’s health crises, doctors and modern medicine had reached their limit in their efforts to help her. The Great Physician, God Himself, had to step in and perform supernatural healing, accomplishing what only He can do. To this day, my mom’s oncologist admits that it was God who saved her life. The gaping hole in her stomach was impossible for doctors to repair. The God of the impossible had to take over the situation.
From our experience, we believe it is important to couple faith in God with modern medicine when appropriate. Nevertheless, our path is always led by God. At times, He may choose to work through doctors and medicine, while on other occasions, He may bring healing solely through the supernatural. In my mom’s case, it was a combination of both. However, my family always supports any God-led medical treatment with our power source, What Did God Say.

5. In moments when circumstances seem overwhelmingly negative, maintaining belief can be difficult. What practical advice would you offer to someone struggling to hold onto faith during a crisis?
BR: This is an excellent question and something my family has wrestled with many times. In full transparency, it is incredibly difficult to keep the faith and stand firm in God’s promises when circumstances defy belief. Yet, somehow, speaking God’s Word out loud, no matter what is happening in the natural realm, brings a calming peace that gives rise to faith. In essence, it shifts our focus from what circumstances are saying to what God has said. Scripture encourages us to build our faith through hearing God’s Word. How do we hear it? We speak it out loud. Something changes in our spirit and in our atmosphere when we declare What God Said. My family maintains a razor-sharp focus on doing this regardless of circumstances. It takes discipline and perseverance, but it is deeply reassuring in the darkest moments. It also helps to remember the many miracles God has already performed, both in our lives and in the lives of others. If God did it before, He can, and will, do it again. That reminder brings hope and helps us persist in holding onto His promises until they manifest.

6. The book blends personal testimony with structured Scripture declarations. How important was it for you to create not just an emotional narrative, but also a practical, usable guide for readers?BR: Actually, my original intent in writing this book was for practical, everyday use. It grew out of the many healing miracles taking place within my family and among friends who were applying the WDGS Biblical principle. We realized that God’s promises extend far beyond healing, into areas such as finances, relationships, and more. People also began asking for our go-to Scriptures for What Did God Say declarations, and it became clear that we needed a resource to meet that need. I wanted to create something accessible and easy to use for both my family and others. Since there were no books quite like what I had in mind, I began compiling my own multi-themed Scripture lists. My mom soon joined in, and together we added chapters to explain the WDGS principle and provide practical application. My family uses this book every day, sometimes multiple times a day. It’s not meant to sit on a shelf, but to be used consistently as spiritual medicine and as a way to activate God’s promises.

7. Alongside the book, you’ve also created the “Hey What Did God Say” healing anthem. What inspired you to expand this message into music, and how do you see the role of sound and worship in spiritual healing?
BR: In fact, I created the song first, and the book and movement followed. I originally wrote the Hey What Did God Say healing anthem for my mom while she was very ill in the hospital. While I could declare Scriptures over her in person, I wanted a way for her to continue hearing God’s Word after visiting hours. She was too weak to speak them herself, so I turned those Scriptures into a song. She played that song continuously for months, and the result was multiple miraculous healings. When I shared the song with others, they also began experiencing breakthroughs. The song is not a magic wand, but I believe it carries power because it contains spoken declarations of God’s Word. It is meant to help people apply the WDGS principle and position themselves for miracles.
As for the role of sound and worship, even the medical field recognizes that music can support healing. Scripture also shows this clearly, particularly in the story of David and King Saul in 1 Samuel 16:23. Worship invites God’s presence, and where God is, there is healing, freedom, and restoration. When music that honors God is combined with His spoken Word, it becomes a powerful spiritual force.

8. Your work speaks strongly about the power of words. In today’s world, where language is often used casually or negatively, what responsibility do you believe individuals have in how they speak over their own lives?
BR: I think we all have a great responsibility in how we use words, both in our own lives and toward others. The What Did God Say principle clearly explains that spoken words hold immense power to affect our reality. That’s not something to be taken lightly. God literally created this entire world with spoken words. This shows us the tremendous weight that words carry. I believe it is exceptionally important for all of us to understand that each word we utter can be a blessing or a curse. Do we want to be agents of positivity by activating What God Says, or agents of negativity? We have all probably heard the adage, “Think before you speak.” That simple but profound maxim means a great deal more than we may realize. There can be a strong correlation between the trajectory of one’s life and what we speak over it. Everyone has the free will to choose, and I encourage us all to speak life and What God Says over ourselves and others.

9. Writing about such an intimate and intense chapter of your life requires vulnerability. What was the most challenging part of putting this story into words?
BR: The most challenging part of writing this story was feeling as though I was traveling back in time to 2023 and re-experiencing the crisis. This was especially true for my mom. Putting those memories into words brought up painful emotions. I often wept during the writing process, and my mom was unable to read or edit the stories because it was too disturbing for her to be vividly reminded of the crises she had endured. The writing process was an emotional roller coaster marked by extreme contrasts, from the depths of despair to mountaintop moments of awe and deep gratitude to God for His What Did God Say healings.

10. For readers who may be new to faith or uncertain in their beliefs, what is the one message you hope they take away from Hey! What Did God Say?
BR: I want people to understand that whatever your diagnosis or situation may be, it does not have to be the end of your story. God offers a different outcome, a future that is good and full of hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
God is a good Father, and He does not play favorites. What God accomplished for my mom, and for others, He is willing to do for everyone. He has provided a way to activate His power in our lives, and that is by speaking His Words. I truly encourage each person to take even five minutes a day to speak aloud several Scriptures from the Word of God that apply to your situation, and to keep doing so until you see the promise manifest in your life.

11. Since the release of your book, have you received any responses or testimonies from readers that deeply impacted you?
BR: Yes, we have received extremely positive responses to our book. One comment in particular was especially meaningful to us. A reader shared that she believes our book is a deeply important work for the world today, and that it could be life-changing for many people. Those words meant so much to us because the main reason we wrote this book was to help change lives for good and for God. And, joyfully, we have also learned that people who have been applying the WDGS principle have been receiving miracles.

12. Looking ahead, do you see this message evolving into future projects—whether through writing, music, or ministry?
BR: Absolutely. I already have more Hey What Did God Say music ready to be recorded, with different lyrics and melodies but the same WDGS message. I also hope to facilitate powerful WDGS ministry events across the country. As for another book, that is definitely a possibility. We will let God lead in that area. Our ultimate vision is for people to experience the miraculous power of God, to feel inspired, healed, and changed by What Did God Say. We all need hope, and our heart’s desire is to help as many people as possible receive from God.

13. If you could leave Lifoti readers with one final thought or declaration to carry into their daily lives, what would it be?
BR: The following Scripture declaration beautifully sums up the power of What Did God Say:

“So is My Word that goes out from My mouth: it will not return to Me unfulfilled, but it will accomplish what I intend, and cause to succeed what I sent it to do.”

Isaiah 55:11

Always remember: What Did God Say is the power of God. Speak it. Activate it. Experience it.
