Damar Jackson recruits some hip-hop heavyweights for "Unfaithful (Deluxe)."

 Damar Jackson’s ascension is steadily gaining momentum. If you’re into credentials, Jackson initially found success in songwriting, having his hand in cuts such as K. Camp’s “Comfortable” and went on to put his pen to use for his personal endeavors, delivering on his Unfaithful album last year.

Now, the southern crooner has returned with a deluxe iteration of the project, calling on names like Kash Doll, Moneybagg Yo, and Gucci Mane for the assist on three of four new tracks. You’ll find Kash Doll on the previously-released remix to “No Protection” while Moneybagg Yo makes his appearance on “Gangsta Luv.”

The standout of the new additions, though, has to be the Gucci Mane-assisted “Retawded.” The bouncy and unapologetically straightforward selection centered on a female counterpart’s assets is familiar territory for both Damar and Guwop and makes for a memorable track.
