Blood Orange drops his 4th project since 2016's "Freetown."

 Dev Hynes 4th album album under the banner of Blood Orange is upon us, premiering at the stroke of midnight. The reformed Bedroom pop star has rallied together a comprehensive list of guests, all acting within the scope of their responsibilities. There's an infinite shyness about Dev's music even when he's staring down at his earnest pupils. Nabbing Puffy for a talking role was huge, in a matter of disputing public record concerning what he's capable of from here on out (as an arranger).

Long ago, Dev Hynes showed his hand and never looked back, he worked with the likes of Solange, A$AP Rocky, and Carly Rae Jepsen, and yet it's taken this long to reattribute those learned powers to his Blood Orange project. The talented soloist performed his collabo with A$AP Rocky on Jimmy Kimmel! for the world to see, and yet we'll likely always view him as an underdog, as he does himself.

Negro Swan includes contributions by A$AP Rocky, Project Pat, Georgia Ann Muldrow, Puff Daddy, Tei Shi and Steve Lacy, Zuri Marley, Aaron Maine, Kelsey Lu, and even Transgender writer/icon Janet Mock. Dev will be touring the record in the Autumn, but don't wait 'til then to make your appraisal.
