 It looks as if CeeLo Green is reintroducing himself on what he calls "the easiest, most painless album I’ve ever done.” The former Goodie Mob artist has released his fifth studio album, CeeLo Green Is Thomas Callaway—a statement that is true, considering Thomas Callaway is his real name. The singer-rapper-songwriter has come to a place in his life where he's ready to showcase himself, removed of the superstar persona and expectations of what the industry and fans have of him.

“CeeLo Green was just the extroverted and working component of my character,” he shared with Rated R&B. “Thomas Callaway always writes those songs but CeeLo Green performs them. Thomas Callaway is who I am now... It’s not CeeLo Green with the fancy-schmancy shiny suits and my whole arsenal of tricks and gags and stuff like that.
