Gxilla music is somewhat dark but it gives you light at the end of the tunnel

His music is somewhat dark but it gives a light at the end of the tunnel. He dropped Music is Dead, The Evil Genius, and It’s okay Now, along with a slew of singles. He work diligently to put new music out at a pace where Gxilla can be seen, heard, and talked about.

As he says, “I am a Hip Hop artist from Washington DC and I have loved music my entire life. I started to make music when I went to prison in 2006, and I used it as a tool to keep mind grounded. Growing up I had the influences of Biggie, Tupac, Jay Z, Lord Infamous, Method Man, Red man, Devin the Dude, and I also love heavy metal like Korn, Mushroomhead. When I write my music it’s like a book of my life, the story I tell many people can relate too. I believe in myself tremendously and I came to win with hard work and dedication, I will make my foot print in the music industry.

My music is somewhat dark but it gives you light at the end of the tunnel. Reflecting on my childhood taking medication for mental health, going to prison and family ties. We all know life is hard and has trials and errors, music helped me to express myself and show the world what I am capable of creating. The beats I pick must have correlation with my songs, remember I'm telling a story and I want listeners to not only hear my music but to feel it as well. Every day I take time to write and listen to beats and make more music, it really is my passion in this life.

In the last recent months, I have been working and putting out music to reach the listeners. I have dropped Music is Dead, The Evil Genius, and It’s okay Now, along with a slew of singles and collaborations with another artist from the DMV. I have also done a few performances at clubs like Peace Lounge, outside shows, and events with Nightmare World Apparel giving out my mix tape and info to follow me to hear more. I have a lot of artist in my community and we try to Collab as much as possible. I am planning so much for the future and I have so much in store to show you.

Social Media is a big aspect of how I get my music to the listeners, sites like reverb nation, spinrilla, Spotify, and sound cloud. I work diligently to put new music out at a pace where Gxilla can be seen, heard, and talked about. The support that I get from family and friends help me to stay motivated and hungry to claim what is rightfully mine. At times it can get difficult and discouraging, but you have to pull from that deep place that gives you that push to keep going. I am dedicated and committed to make my dreams come true.

I am currently working on music videos and photography to widen the possibilities and opportunities for myself. Writing this biography has really opened my eyes and reminded me of how much I have accomplished as an artist in the DMV. Looking back and seeing how far I have come and where music has taken me is humbling. I am grateful for where I am today and proud of all the hurdles I have overcome. Look for much more from Gxilla because it’s just getting started and I feel I have so much more to create and manifest my success.

Music is not my only passion as far as artistry is concerned, over the last year or so I have really formed a love for designing clothing. Creating my own label and design reflective of my personality, demeanor and style. The music and the clothing will allow the world to see from different angles and to know I am not just a music artist but a creative mind that is capable of reaching a wide range of people. Being humble is a trait that one must have when it comes to the industry, however push through and let your voice be heard.

This is not the last you will hear from Gxilla, this isn’t just a hobby for me or something I do in my free time. I love music and I take it very seriously when I am constructing songs, doing events, collaborating, whatever it may be. I have claimed my success and I strive to show the world that I will be that name that everyone knows, that song that everyone is playing, even that designer that everyone is wearing. Life is what you make it, so work hard to make it the best one."
