There's nothing that sounds quite like it right now.

 03 Greedo is a unique new voice out of Watts, California. His new project First Night Out showcases his melodic side, but is not without its share of bars either. In a recent interview with L.A. Weekly, the emcee, who has the words "Living Legend" tatooed across his face, described the type of rap he makes. "I make pain music that’s popping," he said. "My shit is like emo music for gangbangers, because we’re stressed out, too, but have trouble expressing that without looking lame. Even how I do my ad libs makes you feel the soul and the pain of it." As its title suggests, the project was recorded the night Greedo was released from jail, according to FADER.

"Touchdown" is the most futuristic auto-tuned sing-raps have sounded since Future dropped Pluto in 2012. Meanwhile, "Diamonds" is straight-ahead West Coast street rap. The closing track, "Thug 4 U," is a collaboration with L.A.'s Problem, Bad Lucc, and Jay Worthy.

The rapper's biggest hit to date is 2016's ballad "Mafia Business." Earlier this year, he released the 33 track project Money Changes Everything, which featured a collaboration with PnB Rock.
