The DMV rapper continues to refine her sound on her latest tape.

Rico Nasty has shared her new project Sugar Trap 2. The New York-born, Maryland-raised rapper broke through last year with singles like "iCarly" and "Hey Arnold," and has now released her second project of 2016, following the release of Tales Of Tacobella in May. Rico's style can range from shiny and pristine to raw as hell. She favors dreamy production throughout but her vocals sway between sticky melodies and confrontational raps. In a playlist released in tandem with the mixtape titled Sugar Trap 2 Inspirations, she cites Chief Keef, Lil Yachty, Azealia Banks, and Lil Uzi Vert as artists who have helped shape her style, but also points to acts outside of rap like Gwen Stefani, Toro y Moi, and Rob Zombie.

Sugar Trap is a term Rico has used to categorize her style, musical or otherwise. “I describe my sound as sugar trap, that’s not really a description that’s really who I am, that's my swag, that’s how I talk and walk," she told XXL a few months back. "You can see it in the interviews and in the videos I’m the same person, it’s sugar trap, happy savage."

Famous Dex is the sole feature on the project. Rico previously appeared on Lil Yachty's "Mamacita" from the Fate Of The Furious soundtrack.
