The Baton Rouge duo have shared their follow-up to "Spider Nation."
T.E.C. and Maine Muzik have returned with their second project as a duo Retaliation. The tape follows June's Spider Nation project and collects eight tracks. Alongside YoungBoy Never Broke Again, T.E.C. and Maine are among a new wave of rappers coming out of Baton Rouge, a city that has spawned important voices like Lil Boosie and Kevin Gates. The two rappers have found a large following through their popular music videos. After a brief stint with No Limit, the two 23-year-olds are now independent artists.
In an interview with XXL, T.E.C. spoke of the goals he and Maine want to accomplish with their music. "We the first us! Ain’t nothing like this," he said. "I’m telling you, we about to get a fucking country. We gonna be the first rappers to get our own country and y’all can try to be the next one like us. I’m trying to go further than everyone that came before us."
