9th Wonder pushes his record label's second compilation 20 tracks-deep.

 9th Wonder is fiercely proud of his independent stable. Jamla Is the Squad II is very much a showcase record for the members of his council: Rapsody, Heather Victoria, Actual Proof, Reuben Vincent, and GQ, with the lone exclusion being TP, although I gather he contributed somehow in the back end.

The sequel to the first Jamla offering includes an extensive list of guests with ties to the school of pure and applied hip-hop. I heard the term "real" tossed around more than once during my initial spin, and normally I'd laugh at the mere thought of such trite language, but something about this grouping of performers just demands respect.
