John River returns with a new 17-song project.
Last year, many of us were praying for John River after the young rapper announced that he was in the hospital with a life-threatening brain condition. River seemed to be losing hope, updating fans on a regular basis as doctors could not find what was wrong. It's a good thing he was so persistent though because the Mississauga native can be considered a miracle case, recovering quickly after one medical expert finally found the issue. Once he made it back home, John made up for lost time in the studio, recording plenty of music and now, it's materialized as The Academy.
The Canadian artist has just returned to the game with a seventeen-song effort. Released last week, River's sound has evolved a lot since his earlier projects. He is viewed as one of the hottest prospects rising in Canada and The Academy will undoubtedly help prove that to you as well.
