The British actress Nadine Hart announces new performance at the One Act Festival in New York, and more projects to come

Famous for playing one of the best satirical sketch comedies, “Kelly and Whitney’s Bucket“, at Brighton Fringe Festival in 2015, Nadine Hart, who co-wrote, co-created and co-directed the show, has always been an overachiever. Even during the pandemic, she managed to stay busy, and she performed live at the One Act Play Festival, this last August, for its 15th edition.

Since 2006, the One Act Play Festival, hosted by the Artists’ Exchange, has showcased the works of emerging and established playwrights and highlighted the best short plays. Exceptionally, this edition of the festival will be entirely re-performed live in 2022. A great way to celebrate a “back to normal“ life with artists physically back on stage. The dates are still to be announced, but we know that it’ll take place in Nuance Theatre in New York. Nadine Hart will be back on stage for the occasion, with the 68 Cent Crew Theatre Company (Artistic director Ronnie Marmo), to play a piece written by Katie Jay Hopkins and Megan Magee, called “A Moment of Gravity”. Nadine plays Piper the strong willed, an impulsive pilot of a spacecraft that is waylaid from its usual course by an unknown emergency.

We knew that Nadine Hart had been performing for many years on theatre stages, festivals and movies, that she wrote her own plays, but we also came to our attention that she lent her voice for nonetheless than a World of Warcraft mod called Chasing the Dawn - Fallen Hope by Elf_Lord.

"It is not often that they are voiced, and I was extremely proud when I recorded the voice-over in the summer of 2019, in a little studio in Brooklyn." — recalls Nadine.

Tireless, and always going forward with new projects and challenges, Nadine Hart embarks on a new side venture : she produces a new podcast, the “Tritone Paradox”. The first episode will be released for International Women’s Day (Tuesday, March 8 2022), and will be the African version of “Lysistrata“, putting the spotlight on Black Women.
