The Real Fugitives deliver a diversely energetic and professional musical presentation that engages audiences regardless of the performance venue. The Real Fugitives history encompasses four decades, during which time the band has performed at countless venues locally and nationally, from intimate club settings to auditorium concerts and festivals. No matter where the band’s travels take it, The Real Fugitives always return to their roots in the Philadelphia area. Every show, and the satisfaction of every audience, is of the utmost importance. In keeping with this mindset, The Real Fugitives deliver the goods every time without exception. The bottom line is that the band loves to perform in an interactive way, involving the audience in every aspect of the show.

The Real Fugitives were chosen as semi-finalists in the WMGK Houseband Contest In 2018. The band was one of only twenty bands chosen out of more than 1,500 entrants. The band was named “one of the top ten live acts to catch” by The Theater of The Living Arts in Philadelphia. The Real Fugitives won first place at Temple University’s Tri-State live band talent contest. The band has appeared on several cable television late night talk shows.

The Real Fugitives have consistently earned a “top ten band” slot on Reverb Nation, and the band has had many songs curated by the company’s curation team. The Real Fugitives have achieved heavy rotation on many college radio stations throughout the United States, and have also received airplay on several radio stations in the UK and Italy. The band has achieved tens of thousands of song plays on internet radio throughout the world. The Real Fugitives have been together as a band for forty years, first forming in October of 1979. In that time, the band has never broken up and has remained a constant on the music scene the entire time.

With Larry Feldman as the band’s principal songwriter, and the other members as co-writers and arrangers, The Real Fugitives have recorded more than two hundred original songs. The Real Fugitives own and operate their own production company.

The Real Fugitives have recorded and released five full length CDs, and have many more recordings completed that have not yet been issued in digital format. The band has a future project planned that will gather those recordings, have them committed to digital format, and then have them released gradually on individual compilations. One of the band’s major future projects is to establish an ongoing relationship with the community through the presentation of shows at charitable events and fundraisers geared toward the betterment of society and the human condition.

Running Out Of Sundays (1997)
This CD is a thirteen song compilation. Right from the start, the listener is taken on a journey that includes high energy rock, a bit of jazz flavor, and a soulful ballad that touches the emotions.

Accidental Harmony (2000)
The Real Fugitives follow up to their first CD contains more of the band’s trademark high energy offerings, but it also taps into the band’s ability to convincingly deliver a slightly more “pop” sound. This CD opens with three tracks recorded live in concert, showing the band’s live performance prowess outside of the studio. The band’s vocal expansion and rich textures are also obvious on this CD.

What You Do In The Dark (2012)
If driving rock songs are what the listener craves, this is a must have CD. The Real Fugitives move through this collection of four on the floor rockers relentlessly from start to finish, with just one exception, the emotionally driven ballad “All I Dream”, which actually has a country flavor to it. Despite this collection’s roaringly relentless approach, the diverse song writing and on point band delivery still provide a varied listening experience.

No Excuses (2016)
This CD, the band’s fourth offering, brings together eleven songs that demonstrate all of the band’s trademark qualities and continued artistic evolution...hard driving rock tunes, adult contemporary styled songs, insightfully soulful ballads, and even two cover tunes performed Real Fugitives style; the first being the bluesy Ray Charles composition “I Believe”, and the next being a classic version of The Beatles song “Rain.” The band’s Rolling Stones influence comes through on the collection’s final original track, “If I Ever Lost You.”

Fugitized (2019)
This, the most recent Real Fugitives release, is a ten song collection of powerhouse rock offerings, interspersed with an acoustic ballad, and a soulful rendition of The Bee Gees “To Love Somebody.” The entire CD is the culmination of the Real Fugitives musical diversity, quality songwriting, professional production, and artistic depth, which have been established and solidified throughout the band’s stimulating and enlightening four decade musical journey.
