Through It All has heavy, unique rock sound

Harsh Vox versus Clean Vox where euphonious choruses strike out against staunchy screams. Indulging Metal-Heads with heavy guitar riffs and pulsating double bass. Through It All rips away at heart strings with profound lyrics and subdued melodies.

As of July of 2019 Through It All is taking the music scene by storm with hundreds of thousands of listeners. Through It All is a five piece band entering the Rock Scene out of their hometown Piketon, Ohio, claiming no one specific Genre. Through It All consists of members Leroy Johnson, Harsh Vox/Rhythm Guitar; Derrick Roar, Clean Vox; Jeremy Varney, Lead Guitarist; Billy Adams, Bassist and Johnny Lykins, Percussionist. 

Through It All was born from musical influences such as Five Finger Death Punch, Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, A Day To Remember, I Prevail and Wage War. 

In 2018 the band received an Ohio Music Award for Best Metal Song of 2018 with their Single, “With This Change”. This melodically conducted hard rock piece describes pain and peace with changes derived from life’s twists and turns. You can locate the Lyric Music Video.

In 2019, Through It All released their first Album, an E.P. titled “What Lies Beneath The Skin”. The first Single Video released from this album was their song,“What Lies Beneath The Skin”. This Single was recorded, mixed and mastered by John Schwabb Recording Studio (JRS) and the Music Video was produced by John Fleischmann Media, LLC. “What Lies Beneath The Skin” was published on YouTube May 31, 2019 and currently has over 274,000 views.

The next Single and Music Video released off the 2019 Album, What Lies Beneath The Skin was “Neglect”. “Neglect” was Published on YouTube July 12th, 2019 and currently has over 51,000 views 

This vividly, expressive rock music piece describes the broken-hearted circumstances that develop as a product from childhood neglect.  The music for “Neglect” was recorded, mixed and mastered by John Swab Recording Studio (JRS) out of Columbus, Ohio. John Swab Recording Studio is notorious for over twenty years of experience producing major label artist such as, Slash (Guns n Roses), KISS, Halestorm, Gavin DeGraw, Styx and Miles Kennedy (Alter Bridge) just to name a few. 

The “Neglect “ Music Video was produced by John Fleischmann Media, LLC. John Fleischmann is an individual videographer and photographer based out of Toledo, Ohio. The video depicts alcohol addiction and devastating results of a child, as early as a neonate, raised by a neglecting alcoholic parent. 

The third Single and Music Video released off the 2019 Album, What Lies Beneath The Skin is  “Set In Stone”. This Single also was recorded, mixed and mastered by John Schwabb Recording Studio (JRS) and the Streaming Video was produced by Aiden Shaw, Owner and Director of Shaw Media Group. “Set In Stone” was published on YouTube July 11, 2019.

Leroy Johnson on Guitar and Harsh Vox is one the lyricists and one of the founding members of Through It All.  Leroy has always had a passion for poetry, music and art. He has a degree in graphic designing. Some of his vocal influences are Randy Blythe of Lamb Of God, Danny Warsnop of Asking Alexandria, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch. Leroy’s guitar influences are Oli Herbert of All That Remains, Syn Gates of Avenged Sevenfold and Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and his all time favorite musician is Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan of Avenged Sevenfold. Leroy writes on subject matters that pertain to his life experiences and brings his heart into it using metaphors and catchy phrases.

Johnny Lykins is one of the founding members of Through It All and is the Percussionist of the band.  His major influences are Jeremy Spencer of Five Finger Death Punch, Alex Shelnutt of A Day To Remember, and Connor Denis of Beartooth. He is always on the lookout for new inspirations because he believes that as a musician you are never done learning.  Johnny is a timing master and quite the rhythm guru, also he assists with the writing of the band’s lyrics. He began playing music at the age of 10 in band and marching band starting in 5th grade and continuing all throughout high school. 

Jeremy Varney is the lead guitarist and also a founding member of the band Through It All. Jeremy is the writer of all the guitar parts and assists with writing lyrics. Jeremy is multi-talented and his major influences are Bullet For My Valentine, Five Finger Death Punch and Avenged Sevenfold. He’s been writing and playing music since he was 11 years old.  Jeremy is inspired by his love of music. His guitar mentors are Matt Tuck and Michael Padge of Bullet For My Valentine and Syn Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. His love of playing music drew him in to writing and creating his own style.

Derrick Roar is the Clean Vox/Vocalist for Through It All. His musical influences are Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, I Prevail and Breaking Benjamin. Derrick is inspired by musical vibes and has been singing since he was 4 years old.  Derrick delivers a powerful vocal sound with heart. 

Billy Adams is the Bassist for Through It All and is the newest member of the band.  His influences come from a lot of punk and hardcore bands such as Hatebreed, Terror, Cro Mags, Slayer and Lamb of God. Billy is inspired by the music and loves writing his bass parts.
