Mattia Balboni's new album Backstage Music (take 1)

Mattia “Tia” Balboni from Venice, Italy has been defined “a musical raider”: his passion for understanding music led him to study many instruments (guitar, piano, drums, voice), to become a musicologist, a sound engineer and a composer. Soundtracks for contemporary theater and dance are part of his activity which includes also collaboration with a lot of different artists (such as singers, songwriters, DJs). Backstage Music (Take 1 ) is the first album of a trilogy (take 2 will be released by the end of 2019, take 3 in 2020) about music for theater and dance. "I call it “free hand music” because performers and director used to tell me where my music should take them emotionally and gave me total freedom about “how” should I do that. So this music focuses on emotions, with no compromises, free and experimental , because I had no idea what (and how) was it going to be All these tracks have been re-arranged and re-mastered to give them a meaning without the stage scene. Please, close your eyes and imagine yourself on an empty stage. That's how i made this music, staying in the backstage, with tapes and dust." he explains about the project.
Backstage music (take 1) is an ironical album, full of mysterious and experimental musical suggestions. That's how we can define this work by Mattia “tia” Balboni, venician guitar player and composer, an album that represent the first part of a trilogy made by music that the author wrote in different times for contemporary theater and dance shows. He have been defined “a musical raider”, his passion for music had been shown since childhood and led him to study many instruments to become a musicologist, a sound engineer and a composer.
He was featured in recently released Lifoti's June 2019 influencer issue, you can check it from below link's for your country:
